NZ's Blue River Baby Band release 'Walk of Shame'

Coming down from the high of playing to 20000 revellers in their headline slot in Nelson on New Years Eve, Blue River Baby Band release ‘Walk of Shame, the rocking first single off their forthcoming debut self-titled album!
The first single from highly anticipated New Zealand Band ‘Blue River Baby Band’ (BRBB) is finally here. ‘Walk of Shame’ will make its debut in the world on March 29th. Resonating with music lovers the world over, this stonking tunes lyrics are drawn from real life experiences, living for the weekend, euphoria, regret, shame and getting caught in that endless cycle.
The song set the perfect tone for 2019, being played to huge acclaim, during their epic magical live show, performing to more than 20000 people, as the band headlined the Nelson New Years Eve concert. ‘Walk of Shame’ is the first single off the band’s self-titled debut album, set for release in May this year, with a national album release tour to follow.
The Band who came together in 2016 in Wellington, were drawn together for their combined love for making music to move people. The result that has captivated people when catching BRBB live, is a powerful infusion of vintage rock with elements of funk, soul, ska and dub. The Band have ensured they are taking things to the next level with strong female vocalist & performer Ivy Padilla (Panda), who’s been compared as a perfect electrifying blend of Tina turner, Gwen Stefani and Boh Runga.
With an organic, rocking sound that has been storming stages over the past few years.. Blue River Baby Band have pulled together an epic group of musicians and delivered a unique, addictive sound with brilliant results. BRBB are Ivy Padilla (Panda) Lead vocals, Cam Crawford (Camchop) Keyboards and vocals, Jason Hotton (Hotts) Drums, Dave Bamford (BamBam) Bass, Matt Fitzpatrick (Guitar Jesus) Guitar, John Gaulter (Goose) Sax and woodwind. Individually they’ve played on charting albums, toured in bands, appeared in block buster films, worked as pro gigging and session musicians and played on some of the biggest stages and festivals in NZ and overseas.
‘Walk of Shame’ also features esteemed member of South Side of Bombay and friend, Kali Barton on Trombone. They also invited another talented friend Zech Turner aka MC WIZZARD to add his own unique flavours in the studio. Freestyle drum & bass rapper MC WIZZARD, is a member of (Bass Frontiers Wellington) and has worked with Renegade Noise (Dublin) & Radio One U.K (Fabio & Crissy Criss). The Single is being released under their independent Wellington Label, Fire Flower Records & was recorded, engineered live and mixed by Dr Lee Prebble at his Surgery Studios in Newtown Wellington then mastered by Mike Gibson from Munki. The name Blue River Baby Band is a lament… referring to a time when our rivers ran clear and clean.
