Sol3 Mio Back to Basics tour adds Wellington date

Published: Wed 3 Apr 2019 09:40 AM
Due to overwhelming demand, Sol3 Mio have added a final concert to the Back to Basics tour, visiting Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre on 4 June. For the same reason, the group’s Christchurch concert has been moved to the newly refurbished Christchurch Town Hall.
Tickets to the Wellington concert go on sale at 9am on Thursday at Ticketmaster. Current ticket holders for the Christchurch concert will receive new tickets, and the remaining seats will go on sale via Ticketek at 9am on Thursday. All tour information is available at sol3mio.com.
Sol3Mio recently performed to packed venues and delighted audiences for eight date North Island dates. The Back to Basics tour takes a break to allow for international commitments before the second leg kicks off on 26 May with a sold out show in Blenheim.
“We were blown away by the response to The Back to Basics tour,” Moses Mackay said.
“The shows truly go back to how it all started and the audiences really loved it. The three of us with a guitar, a piano, stories and laughs, and of course it’s really all about the singing.
“The first leg of the tour saw us visit theatres of all different sizes, in the North Island, and we can’t wait to get to the South Island and Wellington and see all our fans there.”
The Back to Basics tour features Sol3 Mio as they started out - three voices and a piano, singing songs from the operatic canon and popular music songbooks, and telling stories in the inimitable Sol3 Mio style.
These shows will sell out. Fans are advised to get in quick, and make sure they only book at the official ticketing agents - full details at www.sol3mio.com.
