Hideto Ambiguous presents The Unfolding of Benjamin’s Misery

In this one-man tragicomedy spectacle, the undocumented, clumsy laborer Benjamin meets the enlightened, travelling Bard. The Bard’s critical and artistic consciousness influences Benjamin, and Benjamin’s attitude towards his miserable life begins to transform. This play is dedicated to all (im)migrants, laborers, artistic souls, and everyday dissidents.

Carefully weaving techniques of spoken word poetry, Dark Clown, and physical theatre all together, this play boldly challenges one’s conceptual limit of how a theatre should look like.

Hideto Ambiguous is an international, interdisciplinary artist, originally from Japan. As a performing poet, he is the winner of Liverpool Poetry Slam 2018. As a visual artist, his art works have been featured in Wotisart magazine many times.
