The prestigious kapa haka event is expected to attract more than 60,000 spectators this year and Māori Television will be there for it all.
The official theme of the 2019 festival is ‘Te Matatini ki te Ao’, meaning ‘Te Matatini to the world’, and fittingly this year’s broadcast will also be available to viewers in Australia and America.
English translations will be available via live stream for the entire event and the finals on Sunday, February 24 will also be translated into Mandarin.
