Talented junior Pirate bowlers Alex Reed, Aiden Takarua and Colin Williams (all under 25 yo), won one of the most
prestigious titles on the junior calendar this Waitangi weekend.
The Milford 5000 competition is one of New Zealand's richest junior tournaments. A two day triples event between 32
teams, with players competing for the Dorreen Preston Cup and the $1,500 winner's purse.
Alex and Colin are 1-5 yr bowlers and Aiden is a 1-8yr bowler.
This is the icing on the cake for Alex and Aiden, who were recently selected for the Black Jacks Talent Development
Squad.
