So Pop Locks in Resident Dj Nick Skitz at All Shows
+ Reveals Set Times
+ Show Hitting New Zealand Next Month!
It’s the final countdown! In a matter of days the ultimate throwback pop concert So Pop will land in Australia and New Zealand, bringing the hottest acts of the 90s and 00s with it.
The Vengabus rolls into Auckland next month and now Frontier Touring and Arena Touring are thrilled to reveal that the final seat has been occupied by none other than an Australian pioneer of dance music Nick Skitz. Toot toot!
Filling party dance floors, Nick Skitz created an era of Hi NRG, techno and dance music mixes in the 90s. In 2015 Skitz celebrated 20 years as an artist with the release of the 50th edition of Skitzmix - the multi-annual, longest-running club scene CD series in Australian music history.
Credited for starting the megamix craze Down Under, Skitz has a whopping 43 Top 10 albums on the ARIA Dance Chart, ARIA Platinum single ‘Excalibur’, UK #2 Dance Chart single ‘The Ultimate’, and US #1 Dance Radio Chart banger ‘You Got The Love’ under his belt, and has teamed up with Australian icons The Choirboys for a hyped rendition of their classic ‘Run To Paradise’.
Hitting the decks at all shows and keeping dance moves tight in between live sets, call your Skitz Army together and get jiggy with it at So Pop!
Along with this news, Frontier Touring and Arena Touring announce set times for all shows. Mark them in your diary to ensure you don’t miss any of your faves!
Bringing the biggest names of 90s pop to the stage this month, So Pop will transform venues into the high school disco you’ll wish never ends. Featuring acts behind some of the biggest anthems of a generation, the first class of So Pop is not to be missed!
The greatest pop phenomenon Denmark has ever seen, Aqua leads the charge (‘Barbie Girl’, ‘My Oh My’,‘Doctor Jones') along with Dutch Eurodance idols Vengaboys (‘Boom Boom Boom Boom!!’ , ‘We Like To Party (The Vengabus)’, ‘We’re Going To Ibiza!’) plus the likes of O.G English boyband Blue (‘Get Down On It’, ‘Best In Me’, ‘All Rise’ and ‘One Love’), Irish pop queens B*Witched (‘C’est La Vie’, ‘Rollercoaster’, ‘Blame It On The Weatherman’), Italy’s favourite dance-pop three-piece Eiffel 65 ('Blue (Da Ba Dee)’, ‘Move Your Body’, ‘Critical’), stylin’ mambo king Lou Bega (‘Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit Of…)’,‘Sweet Like Cola’), American hip-house and Eurodance duo The Outhere Brothers(‘Boom Boom Boom’, ‘Don’t Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)’), Belgium x Netherlands dance maestros 2 Unlimited (‘No Limit’, ‘Get Ready’) and rounding out the A-Class list of music icons is Germany’s Mr. President. (‘Coco Jambo’, ‘Up’n Away’).
Think it can’t get any better? As if! Hosting the evening will be the one and only Suzanne Paul!
