LILY ALLEN
ANNOUNCES BENE AS SUPPORT FOR AUCKLAND SHOW THIS FEBRUARY

• Hotly tipped Auckland artist Bene to open Lily Allen's Auckland show this February
• Lily Allen has four Top 40 albums in New Zealand - Alright Still (Gold), It's Not Me, It's You (Platinum), Sheezus & No Shame.
• 5 million albums sold worldwide overall.
• Final tickets on sale now!

The outrageously talented Lily Allen will return to New Zealand for one show only this February. Frontier Touring is psyched to be adding to the excitement with the announcement that breakthrough Auckland artist Bene will be joining Lily for her Auckland date.

From Grey Lynn via Morningside, 18-year-old Bene crashed into our conscious this summer with her latest single Soaked and is causing quite a stir. Soaked has already racked up nearly 5 million Spotify streams, been playlisted on national pop radio, and caught attention all over the world. Bene’s songs mix indie-slack fun with a little r’n’b swing and a voice to die for. She records at the legendary Golden Age studio with producer Josh Fountain (MAALA, Leisure, Thomston, Theia).

Bene appeared online in 2018 with attitude track “Tough Guy”, turning heads including SNIFFERS, who fell for the tracks “cliff diving guitars and synth bass” and “stripped back canyon full of melody”. Bene is poised to take off in 2019, make sure you get down to Spark Arena early to check her out!

Fresh from the release of her brilliant fourth record No Shame (out now through Warner), Lily Allen will be returning to New Zealand for the first time in eight years. The new album, featuring ‘Lost My Mind’, marks a kind of rebirth for the pop star as she returns to the DIY spirit of her first two albums.

Lily first shot to fame with her debut record Alright, Still (2006) and its smash hit single, ‘Smile’which earned her Grammy, VMA, and Brit Award nominations. Her second album, It’s Not Me, It’s You (2011), debuted at #9 in New Zealand and #1 in Australia and the UK, with singles ‘The Fear’and ‘Fuck You’ landing her the Brit Award for Best Female Solo Artist in 2010. After a brief hiatus and the founding of her own record label, she released another UK #1 album in Sheezus. 2018’s No Shame reaffirms her as one of the biggest and brightest pop stars of her generation.

Lily Allen’s mesmerising live show, now accentuated with the addition of Bene is not to be missed. Final tickets are on sale now!
