Spark Sport and TVNZ announce Scotty Stevenson as lead commentator and presenter for Rugby World Cup 2019
Spark and TVNZ have appointed Scotty Stevenson to lead their multi-platform coverage for Rugby World Cup 2019.
Jeff Latch, Head of Spark Sport said that Scotty will be a key personality for Rugby World Cup 2019.
“It’s great to have an experienced presenter and commentator of Scotty’s calibre on the team. We’ll announce more details in due course – but you can be sure that we’ll make good use of Scotty’s varied talents.
“Kiwis are passionate about a well-presented game of rugby – and we’re really confident that the addition of Scotty to the team will set up the coverage of the Rugby World Cup on Spark Sport and TVNZ to be a classic.”
In addition to his Rugby World Cup 2019 responsibilities, Stevenson will work across other sports properties on Spark Sport as well as taking on a sports reporting role for 1 NEWS.

Scotty is the first appointment for the Spark Sport and TVNZ Rugby World Cup 2019 team. The full presenter and commentary line up will be revealed next year. All Rugby World Cup games will be available on Spark Sport, and selected games will be available free to air from TVNZ. Pre-registration for Spark Sport is available atwww.spark.co.nz/sport
