Wanganui, New Zealand, 12/12/2018 – “Deceptive Cadence,” is my first published collection of scary and addictive short stories that has been released this week. After publishing many short stories on my website, I have amassed some loyal readers who awaited the publication of “Deceptive Cadence” with much anticipation.

I’m Anna Ryan; I am 25 years old and I live in Wanganui, New Zealand. The first novel I wrote and published is titled “The Lady in the Coat,” and explores the elements of loss and fear (horror genre). The latter two novels I wrote and published: “Amelia” and “Shadow Watcher” are part of The Sly and Hokey Detective Series, #1 and #2, respectively.

The primary question “Deceptive Cadence” asks the reader is: what do humans fear the most, and is that fear rational or simply all in our heads? Each minute of every day, people are making decisions that will determine what the future will be like. In this instance, should the professionals in this world be questioned or held accountable for the decisions they make?

Society is compounded by worries, fears and paranoia. Why not trust the madness within your own soul? - Because you have been taught that you must second and third guess everything.
