Santa Claus is at BATS Theatre and he’s coming for you!
Naughtiness has taken over the people who dwell in the little seaside village of Wellington and Santa is ready to take the law into his own hands.
He’s made a list and checked it twice – so, which list are you on? Did you buy caged eggs? Park in a disabled parking spot? Secretly record a phone call with your inappropriate boss for political leverage? Then you better watch out because Santa Claus is coming to BATS Theatre, and it’s either good tidings, or a total Xmassacre!
Award-winning theatre company A Slightly Isolated Dog (Don Juan, Jekyll and Hyde) with director Leo Gene Peters and starring Andrew Paterson, Susie Berry, Jack Buchanan and Jonathan Price all bringing their raucous, sexy signature style to BATS Theatre’s annual chaotic Christmas celebrations.
A Slightly Isolated Dog have shaken up Don Juan, they’ve torn Jekyll and Hyde to shreds, now it’s the time to do the same to Santa Claus, with world-class clowning and twisted pop songs.
Actor Susie Berry says of the creation process, “for Santa Claus we talked a lot about our best Christmases ever as well as our worst, and figured out what was essential to both of those experiences. We want it to be the perfect day and be the perfect family or have the perfect relationship. Santa Claus is a response to those ideals and expectations that we all hold onto from childhood.”
“If you come you will laugh, you will have fun and you will leave feeling playful, joyful and naughty, “ adds Berry. “Bring a lover, bring someone you want to be a lover, bring your workmates, bring your friends. The show is high energy, super playful and will definitely get you asking whether or not you've been naughty or nice this year...
The BATS Christmas show sells out every year – don’t miss it!
