Evening Sun Festival - A sprinkle of Indian classical and a pinch of jazz!
Evening Sun Festival 2018 is bringing a diverse collective of musical performances to West Auckland on Sunday, 25th
November, 2018. From 3pm to 7pm, a blend of Jazz, Improvisations and Indian classical music is on offer with
performances by Performances by Sean's Prawns, Leda's Dream, Basant Madhur, John Bell. This is a no-alcohol event with
food, coffee and drinks available for sale from Packing Shed Café.
Evening Sun festival was conceptualised to bring together the local community through music and performance art. The
festival is aimed to be a family-friendly magical evening that supports highly skilled local musicians and improvisors
while cultivating community and nurturing inclusivity in a beautiful orchard property in West Auckland.
The festival is hosted at Packing Shed Cafe. which has an indoor/outdoor space created by locals for locals. The
festival vibe fosters collaboration & a sense of shared love of the music, arts and of course food. If you like the lush, beautiful surroundings of the west,
you will love the location of the festival where we play and listen to music together as a community while sharing some
fantastic kai in the backyard.
The organisers put a huge value on the arts and the conversations that surround it. Combined with food in our lives, the
evening sun festival is setup to give all of us a small break within a small creative space.
This is a koha (donation) entry, with all proceeds going to the performers. Food, coffee & cold drinks will be available for purchase from the Cafe. The festival is also a no alcohol event.
