New Zealand’s top ten carpentry apprentices will be putting their skills to the test when they undertake a 6-hour
practical challenge this Friday. The judges will be watching closely as the regional finalists’ compete to become the
Registered Master Builders CARTERS 2018 Apprentice of the Year.
Media, family, and friends are encouraged to come along and cheer on the industry’s future leaders at the ASB
showgrounds between 8am and 1pm this Friday 9 November.
The competition winner will be announced that evening, at a gala dinner hosted by Mike Puru.
This year the competition will be running alongside the Auckland Build Expo, an event which hosts a range of the
constructions sector’s industry professionals and leaders.
Key representatives from the building and construction industry will be attending to support the apprentices as they
begin to make their mark on the industry.
