Film festival showcases student films worldwide

Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand is once again hosting the Uni Shorts International Student Film Festival on Saturday, 27 October at the Red Lecture Theatre, Carrington Rd, Mt Albert. It is the only student film festival of its type in Australasia and Unitec has curated it since 2012. Uni Shorts provides a platform for student filmmakers from around the world to exhibit their work.

24 student made short films from around the world have been selected to screen in competition in fiction, animation, experimental, and documentary categories. The finalists for the New Zealand Secondary Schools category will also be screened. Screening of films start at midday and culminate in an awards ceremony where our winners will be announced. Refreshments provided!
