The very best of Auckland league’s U16 and U18 talent will be on display this Saturday at Cornwall Park, when Auckland take on Auckland Niue in a representative double-header.
The occasion will mark the first time any Niuean team has played a full Auckland representative side, and follows on from the Auckland senior team playing the Tonga New Zealand Residents in June this year.
The Auckland sides have been drawn from the recently-concluded Region of Origin Series, which saw North and South face off over three consecutive weeks.
The Auckland U18 side is coached by Fletcher Butler, with former Kiwi international and NRL and Super League player Brent Webb on board as an assistant, while Marist Saints stalwart and former Auckland representative, Simon Ieremia, is in charge of the Auckland U16s.
Entry to Cornwall Park is free, while extensive game day coverage will also be provided on the Auckland Rugby League’s social media accounts and aucklandleague.co.nz
