Jim Beam Homegrown 1st lineup announcement

Jim Beam Homegrown is back on March 23rd 2019 taking over Wellington’s Waterfront with 42 acts spread across 5 stages. The first announcement for Kiwi music’s biggest party is jam packed with local goodness!

On the Jim Beam Dub and Roots Stage the first release features Shapeshifter, the mighty Kora and chart topping Sons Of Zion. There will also be a feast of reggae from legends Katchafire and House Of Shem. With three more acts to be announced, it’s an impressive start for a stage that could be a festival in its own right!

Last year Dave Dobbyn had such a blast on the City Stage collaborating with other Homegrown artists that he is back headlining the laid back, feel good stage. Joining Dave will be The Black Seeds, Tiki Taane, Che Fu & The Kratez and the much loved Elemeno-P. A further three more big names will be added on November 5th.

An exciting development for 2019 sees the Rock Stage moved from the TSB Arena to an outdoor stage smack in the middle of the waterfront. Rock fans will be more immersed in the festival and the sound will be cranking for the most talked about reunion in Kiwi Rock. Blindspott are back together and will tear it up alongside Devilskin, The Feelers, Racing, Skinny Hobos plus three other great acts to come.

The popular Lab Stage has a start to finish mega line-up including Broods headlining for their Homegrown debut. Also on the bill are festival favourites Stan Walker, Kings, Home Brew, SWIDIT and Jess B. With four acts still to come, the Lab Stage line-up will just keep getting better!

For 2019 the capacity at the ‘Electronic Stage’ has been increased to host New Zealand’s biggest names in EDM including internationally renowned QUIX and The Upbeats. Montell2099, Lee Mvtthews, Chores and Jon Lemmon have also been named to kick off a line-up that will keep the tent heaving across the day. Three more acts will seal the deal when the 2nd announcement is made.

For the first time Jim Beam Homegrown is extending the good times in Wellington with the addition of the Jim Beam Homegrown Pre-Party on Friday 22nd March. The pre-party will be headlined by pioneers of Aotearoa’s Dub n Bass, Salmonella Dub feat. Tiki Taane - alongside L.A.B, Katchafire and Soulware.

With 30 acts confirmed and still another 15 acts to be announced on November 5th, Jim Beam Homegrown is on track for another record sell-out! Go to www.homegrown.net.nz for all event info and get your hands on the last remaining Early-Bird tickets, on sale now for $99.00+BF.
