Records Four Wins with Local Content Line-up

Three picked up four overall night wins last week, on Monday (27.2% share), Tuesday (tied 22.0% share), Wednesday (22.8% share) and Sunday (25.3% share) amongst the commercially important 25-54 demographic. This resulted in Three winning the week with an average share of 21.2% amongst 25-54s.

Monday night’s win was thanks to high ratings from The Block NZ (35.2% share, 10.5 rating) and the final of hit local drama Westside* (25.7% share, 6.8 rating), resulting in timeslot wins from both amongst 25-54s. Sunday night was also a cracker for Three with The Block NZ winning its timeslot with a 26.4% share and 9.4 rating, followed by Sunday movie blockbuster Furious 7 hitting a 20.7% share and 4.6 rating. Tune in to The Block NZ tonight as our four teams tackle Laundry and Do-Over Week and visit the Ronald McDonald House to give back to the community.

ThreeNow streams for The Block NZ are up 22% year-on-year and live streams continue to hit records for the show, now up 29% year-on-year and gaining the top all-time result for a Block season.

Bravo New Zealand’s The Bachelor Australia has also seen VOD streams increase by 14% and live streams increase by 27% on the previous week. Sitting at second place again in the ThreeNow top 10, The Bachelor Australia has rapidly gained a loyal audience and weekly performance continues to gain momentum as Aussie’s most popular bachelor, Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins, searches for love in the most entertaining and unique season yet.

An array of specials will air on Three this week, kicking off with I Am Paul Walker screening tonight at 8.30pm which looks at the life of the late actor Paul Walker, most famous for his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious franchise. To celebrate the 125th anniversary of women getting the vote in Aotearoa, Three will be screening The Funny Girls NZ Suffragette Special* at 8.30pm on Thursday, followed by the television version of My Year with Helen. Local reality show Gogglebox NZ also premieres this Wednesday, September 19th on Three at 8.30pm. Watch regular Kiwi households react to the week that was on telly in a hilarious and insightful format that has proven to be a phenomenon worldwide.

Other wins for the week included:
Tuesday: The Block NZ (25.0% share, 8.0 rating), NCIS (14.4% share, 3.4 rating),
Wednesday: The Block NZ (29.3% share, 9.1 rating), Hawaii Five-O (15.8% share, 3.0 rating),
Friday: 7 Days* (28.2% share, 6.5 rating).

In radio, Gary McCormick has taken out Woman’s Day magazine’s Hottest Radio Hunk competition for 2018. The More FM host is the second silver fox to take it out in a row, following in the footsteps of The Rock’s Roger Farrelly who won last year. Described by one voter as "a unique Kiwi guy.
