Anthonie Tonnon
With two
highly acclaimed albums under his belt, plus the release of
his recent single and EP Two Free
Hands, Anthony Tonnon brings an eccentric show,
combining traditional and electronic musicianship and a
surreal sense of storytelling and physical
movement.
d. Tyrone & k2k
After
becoming best friends over 3 years ago, Katherine (k2k) and
Dirk (d. Tyrone) have been throwing dance parties together
all across Aotearoa. This very special, back-to-back DJ
session is inspired by Dirk and Katherine's shared love of
ripping techno, dog memes, bumping house rhythms and bees.
Bring a towel; it's gonna be
hot!
Bene
From Grey Lynn via
Morningside, 18-year-old Bene arrives at
The Others Way with a hot band in tow and a killer set of
songs that mix indie-slack fun with a little r’n’b
swing. AND a voice to die
for.
Elroy
You may have caught his
on-stage appearances alongside his father Neil
Finn and brother Liam Finn, or
behind the drums for Wild Nothing, and now Elroy presents
his own with his delectable blend of melodic guitar pop.
Elroy will be joined on-stage with his full
band, performing tracks from his upcoming debut
album.
ENO X DIRTY
Hip-hop artists
Eno x Dirty are well known for bringing the
party to venues throughout Auckland, their recent and highly
anticipated debut album Evil Adventures & Happy
Endings received high praise and features the
duo busting out their patented social commentaries over
smokin' beats.
High Beams
Born out of
friendship, shared thoughts on life’s polar dichotomies,
the unspoken politics of social resistance, and the
importance of celebrating your successes, High Beams is the
hip-hop super-group ofIllbaz, Melodownz and
Raiza Biza. High Beams recently released
their highly acclaimed debut self-titled album and have been
touring the country, spitting rhymes over jazz and
soul-inflected beats.
Josie
Moon
21-year-old singer-songwriter Josie
Moon hails from Wellington, with a hypnotic and
nostalgic approach to electronic pop music. Her upcoming
debut EP Rose Tinted, with new
collaborator Nik Brinkman, is set to be
released at the end of the month.
Purple
Pilgrims
Psychic sisterhood and wistful
wanderlust are the twin energies feeding lush ceremonial
dream-pop duo Purple Pilgrims. the duo's appeal is
far-ranging, with The Guardian referring to their debut
album Eternal Delight as "ghostly,
hazy, ethereal, mystical, angelic, spectral,
sensual."
Polyester
Polyester makes
pop songs charged with emotion - blending pop hooks with
80’s synths, sparkling guitars, and Chic-inspired disco
grooves. The Auckland five-piece have had a bumper year,
playing Laneway 2018, touring NZ, and releasing their
self-titled debut album.
