The Block NZ Records Its Highest Rating of the Year
The Block NZ continues its winning streak with last night's episode hitting its highest rating for the year so far. Sunday nights room reveal recorded a whopping 29.4% audience share and 10.1 rating point, winning its timeslot amongst the key 25-54 demographic. The show also won its timeslot on Monday (29.2% share, 9.2 rating), Tuesday (28.4% share, 7.9 rating) and Wednesday evenings (28.0% share, 8.1 rating). Tune in tonight as the fallout from The Block NZ’s biggest scandal rocks the site and the teams question whether they can forgive Amy and Stu’s cheating.
In addition to The Block NZ, local productions continue to be a winning drawcard for Three with Westside* and 7 Days* performing well each week. Three won the night on Monday with an overall share of 24.6% amongst 25-54s, with Westside* winning its timeslot with a 23.0% share and 6.1 rating. New Zealand’s number one comedy 7 Days* also won its timeslot on Friday night with a 24.8% share and 5.7 rating in the 25-54 target demographic.
Wednesday night had a quadruple win of timeslots, led by The Block NZ and followed by NCIS: LA (17.9% share, 4.0 rating), Hawaii Five-O (16.9% share, 2.7 rating) and Newshub Late (16.0% share and 1.9 rating). Audiences also picked Three for their Sunday night movie fix which saw Knight and Day win with a 24.2% share and 5.6 rating.
Bravo is now screening the newest season of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airing weekdays at 5.30pm, fast-tracked from the US. This is an exciting addition to Bravo’s line-up, and fans can look forward to the channel bringing you The Bachelor Australia in just over two more weeks, starring Aussie rugby star Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins.
In radio, The Rock’s world famous Rock 1500 Countdown is back for 2018 and voting is now open. The countdown starts on Monday, 3rd September and wraps up on Friday, 21st September, so lock it in your calendars and get ready to rock your way through September.
