HANGAR 18 sign a deal with the world’s largest record label.

New Zealand band Hangar 18 have just signed to music label giant Universal Music Group MCA in the Philippines on an Asian wide deal. This sees the band released and promoted in over 15 countries throughout Asia, including The Philippines, India, China, Hong Kong, Thailand and more, in turn exposing the band to a potentially audience of over 2.5 billion people. Earlier this year the band toured several Asian territories including live performances in the Philippines where the band were signed by music maverick and CEO of UMG Ricky Ilacad.

Tim Allen the bands singer said “We are excited to be working with Ricky and the team at Universal they are all so cool. Our plan of going to Asia first before heading to the usual territories has paid off for us”.

Hangar 18 head back to Asia in August to tour several Asian countries including Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia and release their new record ‘Rainy Day’. The band plan to be performing live at the annual global music industry conference 'Music Matters’ in Singapore in September, which sees music industry professionals from around the world descend at the one event.

Before heading back to Asia the band are keeping busy performing live shows all around New Zealand.

Hangar 18 have toured and shared the stage with some of the biggest bands in the world, including; Silverchair, No Doubt - Gwen Stefani, Collective Soul, Ocean Colour Scene, Grace Jones, Everclear and many more.
