“With our upcoming fundraiser, "Show Us Your Hero" - a drag show, strip* show, and dance party, we have proudly tagged $5.00 per ticket of the $25.00 event will go towards a community organisation as part of our team's commitment to supporting others in need in our community,” Andrew Rusbatch, Co-Manager said.

“We are local Heroes looking to support a local charity, organisation or cause that is local to the Canterbury region, which deserves the recognition and support from the Christchurch FC Heroes Rugby Team,” Karetai Continued.
“As we develop a list of charities and causes, we will collate these into a survey where our community and supporters can vote on their favourite,” Rusbatch said.
“We will announce the winning charity and see if they are in a position that they can accept our support, and go from there! We look forward to peoples ideas, their support and we look forward to our Heroes supporting Heroes,” Rusbatch continued
Heroes is an LGBTI and LGBTI friendly inclusive team. Our mission is to enable players to come together to participate and enjoy rugby in an open and supportive environment. We have formed over the last few months and now include members from many walks of life.
Heroes have given both LGBTI and LGBTI friendly members of the community the opportunity to engage in areas of the Christchurch community that do not traditionally attract people who identify as such.
