Stig Set to Star in Crc Speedshow Live Action Arena

The world's most enigmatic motorsport superstar - The Stig - is lined up to star in two days of live action at the forthcoming CRC Speedshow event at the ASB Showgrounds over the weekend of July 20 and 21.
Stig - better known as ex-F1, Le Mans and single seater motorsport ace Perry McCarthy will open the live action at the venue's outdoor arena on both the Saturdayand the Sunday. He will also share his considerable skills with lucky members of the public in the The Stig Challenge, which will see four contestants will be taken for a lap around the Speedshow track in the new Hyundai i30N hot hatch with The Stig at the wheel, before being coached by the legend himself, then going head to head to win a prize.
The Afterburner Drag Bike and Harley Davidson V-Rods will wow the crowds with their jaw-dropping presence and performance, while the much quieter yet no less impressive Hyundai EV machines will provide guests with the chance to sample tomorrow's technology today in a programme of on-going test drives over the whole CRC Speedshow weekend.
The ever-popular KW Stunt bikes, the Ultimate Speed Machine Challenge and Precision Tandem driving complete the action-packed schedule, and watch out too for interviews and demonstrations with Kiwi drift icons Fanga Dan and Darren Kelly.
And as a sepcial treat, back by popular demand, the Kumho Tyres Jet Car is back. This year, however, it will not be running until 5.15pm on Saturday - when its almost dark) - to get maximum visual effect from the jet blast in a spectacular flame show.
This year's spectacular CRC Speedshow opens its doors at the ASB Showgrounds over the weekend of July 20 and 21.
