Let it Snow Let it Snow. One week to go!

With only one week to go until the 2018 Real Journeys Winter Festival kicks off for its 44th year, its looking like this may be the coolest festival in the Southern hemisphere this Winter.

With snow already settled on Cardrona and preparations in their final stages, this years’ festival is set to kick off the Winter in a fresh and fabulous fashion. Festival Director, Rae Baker, and her team have curated four days of music and madness that will excite even the most seasoned festival reveller. NZ’s top music and comedic talent are busily packing their woollies to put on a party for locals and visitors in a way that only Winter Festival can.

Dog’s around the region have been rehearsing their sliding and barking for the Monteiths Dog Derby and Dog Barking competition while the glamour set attending the Viva le Cirque Ball (in a secret location), will be preparing their elaborate outfits for Saturday night.

‘There really is something for everyone this year’ says Baker, ‘the firm favourites return and we are introducing new features such as the Cardrona Legends of Steel Street Rail Showdown, to celebrate Queenstown’s unique snow culture. If you’re an adrenaline junkie or a music lover there is something to entertain you every day and night over the four days of festival’.

Only seven more sleeps remain until Queenstown puts on the party of the year and the Instagram feeds of the lucky ones attending will soon be filled with incredible images that only Queenstown can provide.
