Class comedians showcase

Class comedians showcase

Starring the 2018 class comedians

after an intensive, comedian training, high school students from auckland and wellington will deliver their comedy gold to a public audience for the first time with the class comedians showcase.

two separate shows in auckland and wellington are due to showcase each city’s local budding comedy talent. both shows will be on saturday 19th may 2018, with auckland audiences due to be treated to a show at q theatre, while wellingtonians can catch their locals at te auaha.

the class comedians programme has provided the nz comedy circuit with a plethora of talent, with many graduates going on to perform their own shows during the annual festival. 2017 raw winner ruby esther is an alumni along with james roque (frickin dangerous bro), a name you can’t miss on this years circuit. two of those talents have also gone on to take out the prestigious billy t award – rhys mathewson (best bits) in 2010 and rose matafeo (jono and ben at ten) in 2013. so who’ll discover their talent for comedy this year?

as part of the 2018 nz international comedy festival with their best mates best foods mayo for some great laughs, grab your favourite people and join us from 26 april - 20 may 2018.
