MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT AUSTRALIA IS #1 REALITY SHOW FOR 2018
Three was the most-watched channel amongst 25-54s in March 2018, with a monthly average audience share of 22.1% in that demo. Last week was Three’s highest rating week for the year-to-date, averaging a 28.4% audience share amongst 25-54s.
Married At First Sight Australia has wrapped up its fifth season with its biggest ratings to date, making it New Zealand’s highest-rating reality series amongst 25-54s for 2018. The series averaged an 8.5 rating and 28.1% audience share in the key 25-54 demographic, winning its timeslot each night it aired for the past five weeks. Overall, Married At First Sight Australia increased its share by 34% year-on-year, with the number of ThreeNow streams almost doubling since last season. Last Wednesday’s explosive season finale was the highest rating show of the year, winning its timeslot with a rating of 12.2 and 38.3% audience share in the 25-54 demographic.
The AM Show won the week in breakfast television before taking a break for Good Friday. The AM Show rated an average of 1.9 across the week with an average weekly audience share of 29.4% in the 25-54 demographic.
At a customer and media event on Thursday, MediaWorks came together with TVNZ and SKY TV to launch ThinkTV - a collective voice for the industry to promote the scale and effectiveness of television advertising in New Zealand. ThinkTV will host events and spearhead research into viewer behaviour across free-to-air, subscription and digital television. Last week, The Breeze gave 14 deserving Kiwi kids the chance of a lifetime - a visit to the Premier House to hunt for Easter Eggs with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. The 14 children were selected from hundreds of entries for their good deeds, and were rewarded with meeting the PM and masses of chocolate.
This week, Jay-Jay Feeney wraps up Jay-Watch as she heads to the deep South as she completes her challenge to take 5000 selfies with fans across the country. With the support of RJ’s Licorice, listeners in Dunedin, Queenstown, Invercargill and Balclutha have the chance to see Jay-Jay this week for a selfie and the chance to win $5000.
Jay-Jay isn’t the only More FM-er who’s been set a challenge. Lana challenged golf-mad Jase to get a hole in one - but if he couldn't do it, Lana would have to shave her hair off. Last Thursday, after a gruelling five hours at the golf range, Jase nailed the shot and saved Lana’s locks. Lana & Jase’s last show together is this Friday before Jay-Jay joins More FM Drive.
