Wellington Zoo gives kids the best bedtime story this March
What better bedtime story, than an animal talk at the Zoo just before bedtime? With late Fridays, Wellington Zoo is offering families just that.
Throughout March Wellington Zoo will be open until 8pm every Friday, giving everyone an opportunity to experience Wellington Zoo at dusk. There will be extra animal talks in the evening where visitors can learn about some of their favourite animals, including how to help save them in the wild.
According to Wellington Zoo’s General Manager Community Engagement Amy Hughes, “The Zoo is a wonderful place in the evening; visitors will have a magical time exploring the Zoo at a time when it is normally only the animals around.”
“And this year,” Hughes adds, “we’ve moved the event to Fridays, and made it half price for kids entering from 5pm onwards, to encourage families to make a family night of it.”
Visitors will get the full Zoo experience, with the Zoo Shop, Mojo Café and the Grazing Post being open, and extra animal Close Encounters are available too.
Wellington Zoo Late Fridays starts on Friday 2 March and continues on Friday 9, 16 and 23 and 30 March, 2018.
During Zoo Twilights, standard entry prices apply, child entry 1Ž2 prices only after 5pm on late Fridays.
