Captain Carson’s Church of Speed & Custom Burns Into ACL

Captain Carson is handpicking a selection of over 20 of his favourite muscle cars, hot rods and motorcycles for a display of petrolhead nirvana down at Auckland City Limits on 3 March.

Co-creator of the legendary and uncompromising OnePercent magazine, Carson brings his beady eye to bear on the rearview mirror world of hot rods and motorcycles and steers his hand to bringing a stunning selection to City Limits.

“What’s the thread-worm that links this outrageous selection of custom-built metal and two-wheel death-machines that the Captain has gathered together for the inaugural Church Of Speed & Custom at ACL?” asks festival boss-man Campbell Smith.

“It’s Rock n Roll attitude - that’s what! They may not be the fastest, they may not be the shiniest - but this line up of machines represents the free spirit and sheer unbridled power of machines that matches the musical mayhem on offer at City Limits.”

It is a little known fact that The D4 took their name from a Honda gear shift but you won’t find a Car Seat Headrest in any of these vehicles.
