Peppered Unicorn, an all-female comedy troupe from Christchurch, bring their show Pretty Little Confessions to Dunedin
Fringe March 11-14. The show is peppered with anonymous audience confessions, hilarious unscripted scenes, cast
confessional monologues, and quirky sketch comedy.
Peppered unicorn formed in 2017 from the thriving comedy community in Christchurch, featuring some impressive female
comedians. The show is written and performed by the cast. They draw on a variety of comedic talents and experience,
including stand up, improvisation, theatre and sketch.
The shows performers are like feminists cooks, they blend audience participation and their own insightful observations
into a rich comical soup. Audiences delight in seeing their own (anonymous) true confessions incorporated into comedic
scenes. The shows are lively, colourful affairs with rapid fire comedy and narrative.
The Dunedin Fringe cast includes Twitter and standup sensation Audrey Porne, Christchurch’s funniest Mum Jo Ghastly,
Improv Queen Debbie Klausen, Raw South Island Comedy winner Georgie Sivier, Raw Chch placegetter and Nasty Woman
Ashleigh Blair and the wonderful Lucy Darlington who is best known for getting naked at airports.
