Upcoming workshop for Counties Manukau sports community

Upcoming workshop from global leadership expert for Counties Manukau sports community

If you’re a parent, coach, teacher, club leader or simply have an interest in sport, then come along and be inspired by global guru Dr Ralph Pim’s free session on Leading Your Players to Greatness. The workshop provides valuable insights and resources on character and leader development through sport.

Presented by Aktive - Auckland Sport and Recreation (Aktive) as part of its Good Sports programme, the session takes place on Tuesday 13 February 6.30pm to 8pm at King’s College, Golf Ave, Otahuhu. It is supported by Community Leisure Management (CLM) Counties Manukau and King’s College, with Dr Pim visiting New Zealand as a guest of Sport New Zealand.

In Dr Pim’s 40 years’ experience, he has held roles as a teacher, coach, mentor, athletic administrator, and physical education chairperson. He also served as a Professor of Physical Education and Director of Competitive Sports for 12 years at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Debbie Curgenven, Community Sport Manager, Aktive says Dr Pim will share his experiences, expertise and coaching and leadership insights.

"Dr Pim is an inspirational teacher, dynamic team builder, energetic leader and author - he educates, entertains, challenges and engages audiences of all ages on philosophies around developing culture and leadership through sport," says Debbie.

"His messages have a natural connection to Good Sports, a culture change project led by Aktive that aims to create positive sporting experiences for Kiwi kids by educating and supporting the key adult influencers in children’s sport: parents, coaches, teachers and sport administrators."

Spaces are limited to the Leading Your Players to Greatness workshop with Dr Pim. To register for this one-off Counties Manukau event, visit https://www.facebook.com/events/408785199573435/
