Finish your summer under the stars with New Zealand’s own musical star, singer-songwriter Tami Neilson.
Auckland Council’s Music in Parks is delighted to reveal the APRA Silver Scroll recipient will headline the series’ finale event Open Air Orchestraon Saturday 24 March.
Tami returned to New Zealand late 2017 on the back of several years of international touring, hitting locations all over
the world, including the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada.
Now, in a not-to-be-missed opportunity, Tami will join the mesmerizing vocal talents of Julia Deans, Bailey Wiley, Alae
and Jessie Cassin, and the enthralling sounds of The Blackbird Ensemble’s 20 piece orchestra to bring this all-new event
to the Music in Parks series.
Fusing classical and electronic instruments with contemporary vocals to pioneer classical sound for a new generation,
the concert will cap off a summer of 24 free outdoor gigs across Auckland.
Open Air Orchestra is brought to you by Howick Local Board and Auckland Council. Howick Local Board is proud to provide
this new and exciting event for Aucklanders to enjoy.

The country-soul artist first appeared on the music scene during her childhood in Canada as part of The Neilsons before
emerging as a solo artist. Since moving to New Zealand in 2007, she’s released five dynamic albums which won her the
Best Female Artist at the National Country Music Awards, the Tui Award and the APRA Silver Scroll, New Zealand’s most
prestigious music award.
Come along to see Open Air Orchestra at Bell Park (Lloyd Elsmore Park), Bells Road, Pakuranga, Auckland on Saturday 24
March, 6pm-9pm.
