Blooming success at inaugural New Zealand Flower & Garden Show
Undeniably unique and unquestionably beautiful, the New Zealand Flower & Garden Show heralded the start of the summer calendar in a blaze of colour and standout design. The show proved to be a wonderful success, with thousands queuing at the front gates each day to enter the inaugural show.
Convenor of Judges and award-winning designer, Pascal Garbe said:
“The range of exhibitors was a testament to the strength of the New Zealand horticultural community. The show attracted international attention with designers from the US, South Africa, Australia and the Pacific Islands making their way down under to exhibit, which is great to see for an inaugural show.”
Event Director Kate Hillier was thrilled with the talent in bloom across the each of the display categories.
“To put it simply, the talent on display spoke for itself. Our horticultural community is composed of some of the best in the world and the New Zealand Flower & Garden Show is proud to support it. Kiwis are becoming increasingly interested in gardening techniques and are highly receptive to new innovations. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the show next year!”
