Vodafone’s Fantastic Fridays brings multi- screen innovation to this year’s Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards
Wednesday November 15, 2017
Vodafone’s Fantastic Fridays rewards program is bringing extra content including artist encores to complement the broadcast at this year’s Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
During the event fans will be able to live vote for the ‘Epic Encore’ performances they want to see on Facebook Live.
Vodafone’s Head of Brand Engagement and Sponsorship Gabrielle Pritchard said the VNZMAs will be as epic as fans make them.
“Will Devilskin sing an acoustic? Will SWIDT freestyle battle each other? You get to choose what happens,” Gabrielle said.
Vodafone Consumer Director Matt Williams said more and more consumers are engaging with content using a second screen.
“We understand that customers want more control and more entertainment at their fingertips so Vodafone is always looking for innovative ways to enhance live events. We brought different camera angles and replays into the hands of rugby and rugby league fans at the game, with Stadium Live, and now Fantastic Fridays are bringing ‘Epic Encores’ to the VNZMAs.”
Vodafone will stream the exclusive encore performances and much more live on the Vodafone New Zealand Facebook page.
“We’re making the in home viewing experience interactive and delivering rich content so fans will be able to enjoy the awards more than ever. Will we be able to get Lorde do to an encore? What’s the mood like backstage? Now fans will be able to find out,” Matt said.
Fans voting and watching live will also have the chance to win prizes, including a VIP trip for two to Sugar Mountain Festival and to see Rudimental play at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Featuring Lorde, SWIDT, Devilskin and more, the VNZMAs are being held on Thursday November 16 in Auckland. Kiwi music legend Sharon O’Neill will also be inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.
The VNZMAs will be hosted by Jono and Ben and broadcast live on Three from 20:30.
