Wanaka: Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow organisers have responded to feedback and will be providing shade marquees for the general public at the 30th Anniversary Airshow next Easter.
General Manager, Ed Taylor, says overall customer satisfaction with the airshow is always very high. “However, there are some things we can improve on and providing some shelter for the general public is one that gets mentioned”.
“We have been very fortunate in having one of Otago’s most successful businesses, Calder Stewart, come onboard as sponsors of the marquees. With Calder Stewart being in the construction business we thought it was a good fit and they agreed,” says Ed.
Calder Stewart Director, Donald Stewart, says his company is well-established and successful – just like Warbirds Over Wanaka. “This was a great opportunity for us to get in behind one of the longest-running and successful events in Otago,” says Donald.
The two marquees will be open-sided and will be situated in the main public viewing areas.
Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow will be held on Friday March 30th, Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st.
