Greg Collinson Hopes New Look Will Also Be Victory Colours

Hamilton racer Glen Collinson has revealed another stunning livery for his 2017-2018 PORTERGROUP V8 Ute campaign ahead of the new season, which begins at the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park over the first weekend of December.

Collinson, who scored a second win with his unique Panorama Motorsport New Zealand-built Ford Falcon FG Ute last season at Ruapuna, is aiming high once again and has re-signed DNA Paints as title sponsor. Last season he revealed the ute livery at an old school launch event lakeside in Hamilton, and this season has gone one better with a slick video launch of the new look racer and some studio images shot by one of the country's top motorsport photographers, Geoff Ridder.

"We're always trying to move the goalposts on presentation and hopefully everyone likes the new look, which like last year should stand out from the rest," explained Collinson. "But we want to be at the front and have the attention of the fans regardless."

The PORTERGROUP V8 Utes will see a bigger field this coming season, with around 14 or 15 utes competing in the entire four round New Zealand championship. New and experienced drivers are coming onto the grid, but Collinson isn't phased. "We have learned a huge amount about the FG set up and what it likes and doesn't like and we are quietly confident it’s going to perform as we want it to, and I'm hoping the driver will do that too!"

Collinson’s team also enjoys the continued long term support of Betta Autoparts, Ruys & Co Insurance, PJs Panel and Paint, Civiltrain NZ and the addition this year of Link Up Paints and the Machine Shop. His Panorama team will field a second ute this season, with Jason ‘Mario’ Land back for another run in the team’s Ford BF.
