Ford NZ launches “Drive One for Variety”
• Ford to donate $50 for every test drive in November and December to raise $25,000 for Variety - the Children’s Charity

AUCKLAND, New Zealand 3 November 2017 – Celebrating 27 years of sponsoring Variety - the Children’s Charity, Ford New Zealand has launched a test drive fund
raising programme called ‘Drive One for Variety’ this month.
Now through December 31 or until Ford New Zealand reaches its goal of raising $25000 for its charity partner, customers
can test drive a new Ford at a participating Ford dealership and for that test drive Ford New Zealand will donate $50 to
Variety - the Children’s Charity.
“Variety does great work for children throughout New Zealand, making a real difference in their lives, and we’ve been a
proud supporter since 1991,” said Simon Rutherford, Ford New Zealand Managing Director. “The Drive One for Variety
program is great way to provide additional support for Variety and help continue the fantastic work they do for kiwi
kids.”
“Ford has partnered with Variety for 27 years,” added Lorraine Taylor, CEO Variety – the Children’s Charity. “During
that time, they have created countless opportunities for disadvantaged Kiwi kids. This campaign illustrates their
dedication to helping Variety’s mission to give disadvantaged kiwi kids the childhood they deserve.”
To participate, customers book a test drive of any one of the smart new Ford vehicles at their local participating Ford dealership and fill out a quick “I Drove
One for Variety” form.
The dealership will then notify Ford New Zealand of the test drive and Ford will donate $50 to the charity on the
customer’s behalf. Customer do need to be New Zealand residents, aged 18 or over, and have a valid and current New
Zealand drivers' license. Full T are available at the dealership.
Customer can also use #IDroveOneforVariety when they upload a picture of their test drive to Instagram or Facebook.
