Chart-Topping Artist to Share Music And Story of Walking Away From Pop Career
Critically acclaimed, singer-songwriter Naomi Striemer, went from milking goats and gathering eggs in Nova Scotia, to
signing a multi-million dollar record deal with Sony Records at 18 years old.
This November, Tearfund is excited to bring Naomi to New Zealand for some free shows to share her music, story and passion for the work of
Tearfund through Compassion child sponsorship to release children from poverty.
After signing with Sony, the talented artist went on to record a number one hit single with guitar legend Carlos Santana
and was named ‘commanding diva of the decade’ by Billboard magazine for her ‘melodic debut of the year’.
She worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Marius DeVries (Madonna), Peter Zizzo (Celine
Dion), Mario Winans (Beyonce, Puff Daddy) and even American Idol's Randy Jackson, before one moment in 'Daddy's House',
a studio owned by Sean Combs in the heart of Manhattan, changed her life forever and she walked away from her pop
career.
Now a chart-topping Christian singer-songwriter, prominent speaker, best-selling author and Compassion ambassador, Naomi travels the world sharing with audiences her story of abandoning a life of fame and fortune to follow her heart.
