Z.R. Southcombe Celebrates Walking in Ramble On
Acclaimed author & artist Z.R. Southcombe is due to launch her latest novel, Ramble On, on October 15th at Auckland Central Library.
What is it about walking that seems an inescapable part of the Kiwi psyche?
No one understands this more than New Zealand author and artist Z.R. Southcombe. Her new book, Ramble On, explores the connection between walking and (mental) health, celebrating the simple joy that can come from exploring DOC tracks, connecting with nature and slowing down. Ramble On is part travel book, part non-fiction; a fully illustrated book featuring interviews, personal essays and hand-lettered quotes.
The event promises to be a book launch but not like you’ve seen before - expect to engage with the art of walking in creative, fun ways. Featuring guest speakers, spot prizes and children’s activities there will be something for guests from all walks of life. Southcombe will be joined by Grace Penlain and Mayur Wadhwani, contributing authors.
