Andy And Nate Win the Block NZ 2017 And $131,000
Andy and Nate are the winners of The Block NZ 2017, taking home a total of $131,000 after the highly anticipated auction held in central Auckland tonight, and televised LIVE on Three and ThreeNow.
Twelve weeks of renovation, drama, and top ratings culminated in tonight’s LIVE finale where the four terraced houses, located in Auckland’s Northcote, were auctioned by Ray White Real Estate.
At the end of the night, Andy and Nate’s house sold for $1,250,000 – $31,000 over the reserve, making them the team with the highest profit. Under the rules of the competition, the winners keep the $31,000 profit, and take home an additional $100,000 cash prize.
Andy said: “We’re ecstatic
with our win!”
Nate added: “We’re really stoked that all our hard work has paid off.”
Andy and Nate were also named the winners of the prestigious People’s Choice Award, decided by public vote, and receive a brand new Honda Civic RS Sport Turbo Hatch .
The auction saw all four The Block NZ 2017 houses sold, with the three non-winning properties making the following profit:
Ling and Zing’s house one - $1,000
Julia and Ali’s house two - $13,000
Stace and Yanita’s house four - $20,000
MediaWorks Chief Content Officer Andrew Szusterman says: "Congratulations to all the teams, especially Andy and Nate on their win.
