FRIDAY 1 SEPTEMBER

RESENE DESIGNER RUNWAY

Serving up showstoppers from every designer on the NZFW 2017 schedule, the Resene Designer Runway show is a high-energy and over 30-minutes long fashion feast for the senses. Providing a spectacular overview of the best of New Zealand fashion, this is a not-to-be-missed chance to preview both in-season pieces and forward season collections to come.

The style savants of WORLD return to open NZ Fashion Weekend with the pomp and ceremony it deserves. KIDS SHOW PRESENTED BY LITTLE TREASURES

A showcase sure to tug at the heartstrings, this will undeniably be the most stylish petite parade you’ve ever seen! With models aged between two to ten, you can expect energy, fun and maybe a tantrum or two?! And as if that wasn’t enough, for babes growing babes, a slew of bump-flattering pieces will swan down the runway in the name of revolutionising maternity wear as we know it, thus ensuring no style statement is sacrificed during this beautiful stage of motherhood and beyond.

HAILWOOD

Join designer Adrian Hailwood for this unique NZ Fashion Weekend experience as he is interviewed on the catwalk by Sonia Sly of fashion Podcast My Heels Are Killing Me, discussing everything from the inspiration for his most recent collection, to the energy and hype of creating a fashion show. Hailwood will then show his Spring / Summer 2018 collection with a full catwalk presentation, that is sure to be another fresh twist on his signature timeless and elegant point of view.

RUSSELL ATHLETIC

A must-see event – Russell Athletic is a true fashion Icon - no doubt and this show will remind you why that is. We will embark on a journey to explore the invention of the humble cotton sweatshirt through music, dance, and style. A merging of fashion from then and now, from the streets to the fashion runway. Performances by New Zealand’s top artists, such as Vince Harder, Maaka Fiso and Taye Williams and live band also accompanied by the world hip hop champions, Identity Dance Company
