NO Productions Theatre presents two theatrical nights of radio
Having successfully premiered back in 2011, the refreshed and enhanced show A Sorcerer’s Appendix is back to delight local audiences! Hosted by Orange Studios on the 7th and 8th of September at 7.30pm, this sparkling comedy by David Allen will bring a touch of glamour and much hilarious insanity to the Christchurch theatre-scape.
A Sorcerer’s Appendix is a BBC-style vintage programme performed in front of a live studio audience. It is set in a mythic world of kings and sorcerers, where Monty Python meets Shakespeare meets the Goons – and they all regret it in the morning. The audience will witness a number of astounding sound-effect wonders, learning first-hand how an axolotl squeaks, a forest rustles and a dungeon drips. The show will feature highly advanced sound technologies such as a frying pan, a squeaky rubber... thing of unknown origin, a thunder machine, and many more. Prepare for mayhem, mishaps and mischief aplenty!
Written and directed by David Allen, produced by Nataliya Oryshchuk, and performed by a glorious set of local theatre- and mischief-makers including Michael Adams, Julian Anderson, Joanna Prendergast, John Boyce, and Yvette Bensemann.
PG 13, licensed venue, limited seating.
Tickets $25. Book at cosmicticketing.co.nz
