Go Wild on Your Mobile with Staglands Wildlife Reserve
Staglands Wildlife Reserve has joined forces with Excio to bring exciting animal content to mobile home screens.
Staglands Wildlife Reserve and Café is one of the first conservation organisations in New Zealand to adopt some 21st Century wizardry to stay connected with its followers and supporters.
By teaming up with Excio, Staglands can now deliver amazing images, news and stories direct to a user’s mobile home screen.
“Excio will make it easier to maintain the connection with nature.Taking nature digitally will enable Staglands to focus especially on the youth market whom have traditionally been harder to engage, in relation to conservation. It doesn’t matter where you are - it can show you what is happening at Staglands. This will enable us to keep everyone more informed of our conservation efforts to save rare and endanged New Zealand species.” – says Sarah Purdy, the owner and manager of Staglands.
Such a way of displaying images on the home screen of a user’s mobile device has never been tried by a conservation organisation before and it is hoped that it will deliver greater levels of understanding, education and appreciation of nature and the animals at Staglands.
Users of the free Excio application will now be able to receive updates straight from Staglands inhabitants.
