Rotary Club of Auckland presents
World Press Photo Exhibition
Open now until 30 July 2017, Auckland

Time is running out for Aucklanders to experience the eye-opening World Press Photo Exhibition. Hosted in the historic ballroom space of Smith and Caughey’s on Queen St, the arresting images are complemented by captions outlining the fascinating stories behind them.

The perfect post work outing or mid-winter activity, the gallery is open until 7PM Mon-Wed, 9PM Thu-Fri, 7PM Sat and 6PM Sun. Audiences have had high praises for this year’s exhibition, calling it a “must see” and “deeply moving and thought provoking”.

Each one captures the conflict of our modern world, as well as the passion, both heartwarming and chilling.” - M2

Connecting you to the far reaches, this year’s exhibition showcases the best images from 2016, capturing everything from police violence in the USA and Zika virus in Brazil, to war in Iraq and water pollution in the Canary Islands. Picked from over 80,000 submissions from 126 countries across the globe, these photographs offer a striking perspective of the world we live in.

All proceeds will be given to the Rotary Club of Auckland, whose fundraising efforts support charities in NZ and throughout the world in areas of healthcare, education, nutrition and shelter.
