Stellar Cast Announced for 'Sister Act, The Musical.'
Producers of SISTER ACT, THE MUSICAL - inspired by the Whoopi Goldberg smash-hit movie - today announce some of New Zealand's most experienced musical theatre performers have been cast in the production bound for the ASB Waterfront Theatre this November and December.
In the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier - a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look- a convent - is New Zealand Idol finalist Keisha Tunks who has been performing in Japan since finding fame on the television series.
"Like Deloris, I also have big dreams," says Keshia. "Playing Deloris is one of them and I can't wait to hit the stage again in New Zealand."

Under the suspicious watch of the Mother Superior, using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
