Max Harris returns to New Zealand for nationwide speaking tour

Max Harris, author of The New Zealand Project, is returning to New Zealand to give talks around the country in July and August.

These events address phenomenal nationwide interest in The New Zealand Project since its publication in April. Already entering a second reprint, the book is regularly appearing on non-fiction bestseller lists. Max Harris spoke to large audiences in April and May, including the Michael King Memorial Lecture at the Auckland Writers’ Festival attended by a crowd of over one thousand people.

In July and August he will be giving free public talks in:

Wellington (Tuesday 25 July, 5.30-7.00pm; GBLT2, back of the Old Government Buildings, Law Faculty, Victoria University)

Paekakariki, chaired by Gregor Fountain (Wednesday 26 July, 7.30pm; St Peters Hall)

Ponsonby, Auckland, in conversation with Emmy Rākete and Anthony Byrt (Sunday 6 August, 4-6pm; Golden Dawn, 134 Ponsonby Rd)

The University of Auckland, in conversation with Kingi Snelgar, chaired by Carol Hirschfeld (Tuesday 8 August, 6pm; OGGB4, Owen G Glenn Building)

Gisborne, in conversation with Mark Peters (Wednesday 9 August, 5.30pm; War Memorial Theatre, 159 Bright Street)

Hawke’s Bay (Thursday 10 August, 6.30pm; Hastings Library)

Carterton, chaired by Charlotte Macdonald (Sunday 13 August, 3-4.15pm; Carterton Events Centre, 50 Holloway Street)
