Nationwide Party Tour - on Sale Now
Aldous Harding has fast become a name on the lips of many worldwide. The release of her album Party on 4AD in May saw her songs reach new ears far beyond her home shores of New Zealand. “Quiet, cryptic, utterly arresting...her exposed voice is riveting, changing character from song to song”, lauded the New York Times. “Harding is an astonishing performer, and Party is a work of quiet power”, said MusicOMH, rating the album a near perfect 4.5 out of 5.
Aldous has spent the past year playing sell-out shows to ecstatic crowds around the globe - including tours of the US and coveted 2017 European festival slots - Green Man, Iceland Airwaves to name a few. After performing three intimate shows at Auckland’s Pah Homestead last week (all of which sold out in minutes), she’s announced a national tour of New Zealand’s most spectacular venues - including Auckland’s Civic Theatre, Wellington’s Opera House, Christchurch’s Isaac Theatre and Dunedin’s Glen Roy. She’s joined by the esteemed Martin Phillipps of cult indie band The Chills in support.
With a live set that’s nothing short of “unforgettable” (Gorilla Vs. Bear), Aldous Harding and band will perform songs from the critically acclaimed Party. Making “inventive, atmospheric music that doesn’t fit neatly into any genre designation” (Stereogum), she’s an artist on a huge trajectory, given the height of her youthful powers; “a talent at the very start of her creative life”, saidLoud And Quiet.
Tickets are on sale now from Live Nation.
New Zealanders in the know aren’t sleeping on this one - so don’t be late to the party.
“Understated yet charismatic, Harding has the gift of making reality seem like a very fragile and porous thing indeed.” - Q ****
“Truly captivating.” - DIY ****
