Getting the Rodger Fox Big Band to Monterey.
6th August, Grand Hotel, Courtenay Place 3-9pm
The RFBB are off to Monterey in September. They have been asked to play at the prestigious Jazz Festival, and so have been fund raising like mad things! The next of these initiatives is on Sunday 6th August at the Grand in Courtenay Place 3pm to 9pm, a 5 band extravaganza including a set from the lovely us! $10 for the day... unbelievable!
Ten Go Touring Tour
18-19-20 August, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga
Yes, we borrowed heavily from Enid Blyton for this tour name! No, licky Timmy won't be coming with us.
Friday 18 August, Portland Public House, Auckland 9pm. Free.
Come in early, have dinner. Laugh at us setting up, buy us beers. Hug a Wellingtonian.
[Free entry because of support from Anon]
Saturday 19 August, Nivara Lounge, Hamilton 8.30pm. $10/$15
We're excited to be playing at the fantastic Nivara Lounge! We've asked Sandra Thomson to come along and add some violin to the line up. *relearns the violin songs in a hurry*
We've made this one a bit earlier... because, as we've said before... we're nannas...
Presales, which are cheaper - and handy, because they let us know that we're loved BEFORE we get there, are at

Sunday 20th August, Totara Street, Mount Maunganui 2pm $10/$15
A tour for firsts! This is our first time playing as the Lamb Band in Tauranga... well the Mount, actually! Looking forward to checking out the Performing Arts Centre. And playing the afternoon session so that we can prove that people can boogie in the arvo! #Throwingdownthechallenge - Thanks Mike Garner, for the venue suggestion. Sandra Thomson will join us for this gig too! Violin for the win.
Presales (for all the same reasons as Hamilton) are available here https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2017/julie-lamb-band-ten-go-touring-tour/mt-maunganui
If you'd like to win a double pass for the Hamilton or Mount Maunganui gigs - reply with "Licky Timmy" in the subject line - and we'll throw your email in a hat. If you're out of those towns - we'll ship you a cd instead. (Yes, that's a sneaky, #InYourFace way to say They're In Stock!)
Oh, and then, to make it a ham sandwich tour,
(WLG-AKL-HAM-TGA-WLG)
we thought we'd do a gig at Third Eye in Wellington.
Friday, Sept 1 - 8pm $10/$15
This one is with support from the fabulous Warwick Murray and the World of Music. (Warwick's originals band) Much Excite!
Well that's it from us. Except to say it would be fabulous to see you at a gig! We are so proud of this new album, and it's so much fun to play it live. Seriously. And of course our aim is to be infectious with that...
