NEW WORLD FIRST LOOK EVENT – FRIDAY 26 MAY 2017
Carman Hancock show designer and sponsorship co-ordinator said “she was delighted to have New World come on board as the major sponsor for this First Look Event. The Alexandra New World plays a large role within the Alexandra and wider Central Otago community and have a great appreciation for innovative talent.”
The New World First Look Event which is part of the Rural Women New Zealand WoolOn Fashion Event is an opportunity for fashion and fibre lovers to view entries prior to the Saturday night awards ceremony. Those attending will get to appreciate the garments and the designer’s skills. This event is a little more relaxed with theatre style seating however still contains all the elements of the awards show. You can expect to be entertained.
“The event is a little shorter than the awards night as there are no announcements of the winners” says Chairperson, Clair Higginson. “It is a great opportunity for both young and old to experience the catwalk, fashion and design and if you appreciate having an earlier night this is the show for you.”
Shane Ryan General Manager Alexandra New World says “The farming industry is important to the Central Otago community and the New World First Look Event enables both our local Central Otago designers, those from throughout New Zealand and overseas to showcase their talent at a high-class event and showcase the creativity associated to the wool product. This event has a great collaborative approach in supporting both a commercial industry and the arts and culture aspects within our community.”
Tickets are for the First Look Event are on sale at the Central Otago i-sites throughout the district in Alexandra, Cromwell, Roxburgh and Ranfurly or can be purchased online as www.woolon.co.nz
Tickets for the New World First Look event are $45 per adult and $30 per child or senior.
Doors open at 7 pm with the show starting at 8 pm.
