What's On for Term Two
As usual at Capital E we have a bunch of fantastic activities and events coming up for kids during May, many of them continuing during term two. From the immensely popular Upside Down at Capital E Central, through to our interactive and immersive Electro Jungle at LUX Light Festival’s The Playground, we have something to excite every imagination.

For all ages
LUX Light Festival 2017 (Friday 12 May – Friday 21 May, 6pm-11pm, Frank Kitts Park, free entry):
Come and visit Capital E’s Electro Jungle at LUX Light Festival’s The Playground. For a night out with the family, The Playground will have everything from fun light games to child friendly food. Filled with lots of colourful, engaging, interactive artworks and cool environmental lighting it will appeal to kids and big kids alike.
Upside Down (Mon-Sat until 27 May, 9.30am-3.30pm, Capital E Central, free entry):
Our world has been turned inside out and upside down! Our fun wonky universe is for you to explore, experiment and construct in new ways.

Tech Explorers (Thursdays 4 May – 6 July, 9.30am-3.30pm (drop in), Capital E Central, free entry):
Play, do, and learn about technology; activities and experiences designed specifically for 3-5 year olds. A drop-in activity introducing young minds to the creativity and opportunities tech offers.
Science Jam (Thursday 11 May, 24 May, 8 June, 21 June, 10am-10.30am, Capital E Central, free entry):
Join Professor Inventus on a journey of fun and interactive science experiments and discoveries.
Sing It Out! (Tuesdays 2 May-4 July, 10am-10.30am, Capital E Central, free entry):
Sing it out, make rhythms and learn fun action, songs and world music with Lala Simpson from Community Music Junction.
Showtime with Playshop (Friday 19 May and 16 June, 10am-10.30am, Capital E Central, free entry):
Interactive, improvised and themes performances like you’ve never seen before!
E Kohiko Ana Matariki (Tuesday 30 may-Friday 7 July, 9.30am-3.30pm, Capital E Central, free entry):
Tamariki and their whānau are invited to our Matariki installation to share korereo, weave harakeke and take part in craft activities.
Matariki Stories (Monday 19 June 10am-10.30am and Saturday 24 June 1pm-1.30pm, Capital E Central, free entry):
Join author and storyteller Moira Wairama on a journey of Matariki Maori myths and legends followed by a waiata.
Raranga Whetū (Saturday 10 June, 1pm-2pm, Capital E Central, free entry):
Learn to weave your own flax Matariki stars with help from talented weaver Marissa Pukutapu.
For 5+ years
Code Club Aotearoa (Mondays 1 May – 3 July (excl. 5 June), 4pm-5pm, MediaLab, free entry):
