Graduation Gala Concerto Competition

Coinciding with Autumn Graduation ceremonies, with almost 6,000 University of Auckland students flying the nest to take on new adventures, the 2017 Graduation Gala Concerto Competition marks its 10 year anniversary with a University-wide celebration of graduating students.

This is a huge occasion presenting a wonderful opportunity for the entire University community to experience the exceptional talent of over 100 students involved in the event.

This year's competition opens with a powerful performance from the University of Auckland's Massed Choir, and features three of our finest School of Music soloists, Joella Pinto (violin), Julie Park (viola), and Sara Lee (piano), each performing a concerto with the University of Auckland Symphony Orchestra, and competing for a total prize pool of $15,000.
