Last NZ performance for top Trump impersonator before USA
One of the world's top 10 Donald Trump impersonators, Alexander Sparrow, is set to be guest of honour at Alexandra Park’s American Night on Friday 21 April – in one last performance on home soil before having a crack at the global title.
Recently ranked by US comedy chain Laugh Factory, the Kiwi has been selected to go up against nine other top Trump impersonators from around the world to take out the ‘King of the Trumps’ title in Los Angeles at the end of this month.
Alexandra Park’s Sales & Marketing Manager Joel Reichardt says ‘Trump’s’ night at the trots this coming Friday will give him one final chance to perfect his art before LA.
“We’re basically hosting his last New Zealand performance and so we’re encouraging people to come along and enjoy a great laugh. By all accounts he’s very funny and it would be hilarious if a Kiwi took out the top title in the US!”
Mr Reichardt says New Zealand’s own Donald Trump has been attracting a lot of media attention lately and says enquiries as to his movements this coming Friday evening are now being fielded by Alexandra Park.
“We thought it would be great to get him along to our American Night. Now suddenly he’s vying for the international title, so people are naturally keen to see how good he is.”
Alexandra Park is hosting American Night on 21 April in both its Tasman Room and Top of the Park where ‘The President’ will mix and mingle during the evening dubbed ‘A night to Trump all others’.
Mr Reichardt says the Tasman Room will serve up the best of the US with all-you-can-eat diner inspired buffet packages ranging from $70 to $110 per person. Taste a night in the Hamptons is the catchphrase for Top of the Park with packages for the fifth-floor venue now sold out.

The next internationally-themed cuisine race nights at Alexandra Park will be Mexican Night on 5 May, French Night on 26 May, and Spanish Tapas Night on 9 June.
General admission into Alexandra Park as well as car-parking and race books remain free on the night.
