Hosts for New Property Show ‘Slice of Paradise’ Announced

MEDIAWORKS ANNOUNCES HOSTS FOR NEW PROPERTY SHOW ‘SLICE OF PARADISE’

MediaWorks is pleased to announce Shelley Ferguson and Peter Wolfkamp as hosts for the upcoming property series, Slice of Paradise.

The eight-part series will track the journey of New Zealand individuals, couples and families as they endeavour nx to enter or manoeuvre the local property ladder, with Shelley and Peter working with prospective buyers and ultimately competing with each other to find the property best suited to their needs.

Each episode will feature two prospective buyers with Shelley and Peter presenting three housing options to each buyer, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each. Viewers will get an entertaining look at a variety of properties in each episode, taking away practical discussion points regarding different housing options in New Zealand.

Your Home and Garden Managing Editor and The Block NZ co-host, Shelley Ferguson, has a wealth of experience in lifestyle magazines and property, knowing what to look for when purchasing a home.

“The show is fascinating because it follows real people in a range of situations, from first-home buyers to investors or empty nesters. By following their journey – and let’s be honest, property searching can be a journey – New Zealanders can get a good look at what’s on offer in terms of lifestyle and real estate in different regions around the country,” Shelley said.

“I’m really looking forward to challenging people’s thought patterns on where or how they could compromise, manage expectations or reprioritize when it comes to property buying. I think we’ll have some real head versus heart battles on our hands!”

Shelley will be joined by Peter Wolfkamp, site foremen of The Block NZ and professional carpenter. Peter says it will be great to get an insight into the property market across the country.

“Like anyone who is a homeowner, or a potential homeowner, we are intensely interested in the property market at the moment. It will be very interesting to see what money can buy in different areas and I think we will see a huge contrast in the market depending on location.

We will be working with people of all circumstances from both ends of the country and it’s going to be extraordinary to see what’s available.”

MediaWorks is also pleased to announce realestate.co.nz as the broadcast sponsor for Slice of Paradise, accompanied by New Zealand Home Loans and Resene as programme partners.
